Community Grants

The Corvallis Community Thrift Shop allocates funds to nonprofit (tax status 501c3) organizations that contribute to the betterment of Benton County communities.

Recent Awardees

90 years supporting our community

Since 1930 the OSU Folk Club Thrift Shop has awarded scholarships benefiting students attending Oregon State University, and has also allocated grants to nonprofits in Benton County to contribute to the betterment of the community.

Community grants are made possible by proceeds from the Corvallis Community Thrift Shop and by donations from individuals or organizations. Contact us to learn more about how your donations can make an impact on local student sand Benton County 501(c)(3) organizations.

Grant applications are closed.

Applications will open on August 1, 2025.

If your organization received a grant in the fall of 2024:

  • All Grant recipients must submit a Grant Evaluation Form. This form must be completed by June 30, 2025. Failure to submit the Grant Evaluation Form disqualifies applicants from being awarded a grant in the coming year.
  • If you have not submitted the Grant Evaluation Form by the deadline, you will need to wait a year before applying again.

The Corvallis Community Thrift Shop is pleased to announce the opening of our annual grants awarding cycle.

2025 Grants Awarding Cycle dates:

  • August 1, 2025: Applications open on this website
  • September 12, 2025: Last day to submit an application
  • October 31, 2025: Applicants will receive decisions no later than this date
  • July 31, 2026: Grant Evaluation Forms must be submitted in order to be eligible to apply for the 2026 Grants Cycle

Grant Guidelines

Priority will be given to:

  • Social Service Organizations
  • Organizations that serve the homeless and unsheltered
  • Organizations that serve people who have experienced domestic violence or child abuse

We do not fund:

  • Organizational start-up expenses
  • Wages or stipends
  • Mileage reimbursement
  • Scholarships
  • OSU campus ministry groups
  • Academic departments
  • Student organizations and housing groups

Requests must list individual prices for each item that is requested. If you are requesting multiple items, please list them in priority order.

Corvallis Community Thrift Shop
The mission of the Thrift Shop is to award scholarships to OSU and Linn-Benton students and to award community grants to Benton County 501(c)(3) organizations. We also benefit the community by offering a place to buy clothing, household items, books, vintage items and more, at a low cost.
